Been working on a tileset. Platformer, RPG, Medieval, and maybe more. Anyway,
The basic idea was more into sandboxy and less into linear, so plans were drifting into a metroid-venia.
The basic color theme is now quite simplistic but light. Maybe I will include a darker tone, kinda more desaturated and a lighter tone, kid-friendly type.
As I was designing this, I thought I needed a few characters, heroes and all that as well as NPCs. That would be a long journey, I'm sure. But I will get there.
I will keep this post updated, and as before, the final graphics will be free and available for all to take.
If this is your thing, consider making any sort of suggestions.
Technical stuff:
Size 32x32 pixels, because I think that works well for most applications.
! I know the door and the dirt look kinda bland but this is work in progress.
K, Thanks, Bye!
UPDATE:
I also want to show you a character in progress, the main one perhaps. I want to make both a female and a male version, though my main goal is to make the female version. The arms will be somewhat separated though I might include a complete one as well. This is just for the game's aiming.

Hex Tiles, A Beginning
So, I was searching the webs for a free hex tileset pack to experiment with some game ideas.
Need I tell you how many I found? Well, very few. But I did find a great one by Kenney (OpenGameArt Link). Although it was a bit too happy for me. So I made my own..
It's not much.. It has a Grass, Dirt, Water tiles, as well as a foresty bit and dirt roads. I plan on working on a full pack. If you like the idea, let me know in the comments.
To download this small pack,

Thanks, bye.
UPDATE:
I just added a few new things...
So far there are some units as well, and new terrain decorations. Infantry, AT, AR, Trucks, and a Tank.
Not much. I still need to add a few road junctions that I forgot about, and after that will be available to download on opengameart. But that's for tomorrow morning. K? Bye.
UPDATE #2:
I finished up the road variations and added a bridge, and some other stuff.
Also, the preview image uses the tiles in their original form of 32x32, not like before when it was x2 (64x64). I thought I would make a demo for this, giving you the ability to explore the map within a small game, but it was a bit too much work. Let me know if you would like this to be a small game.
the proper download link HERE.
Bye! :)
